Knit garter until desired length
knit 3
BO 3
Drop 3 stitches on right needle and carefully unravel
Drop 3 stitches on left and do the same
I didn’t tie loops

ETA - I did go back and try to knot the loops because since I used large needles, they were pulling through adjoining stitches and didn’t look right.

When I make another with this big yarn will do the following:

CO 10
Knit garter until desired length
knit 4 (so loops are long enough to tie)
BO 2 (so the center part doesn’t show as much
Drop 4 stitches on each needle
