I enjoyed knitting this and it went pretty quick. I slipped the first stitch purlwise and knit to the back of the last stitch every row which made a nice clean border.

I followed the directions exactly (I didn’t notice the errata until almost binding off) and it was still perfect. However, I kept going on the garter for about 25 rows because 1) I had plenty of yarn 2) garter is nice and mindless for knitting on the beach and 3) I don’t care for shawlettes, preferring a full size, which this is.

Don’t be thrown off because it says there are short rows. The directions are so clear, you don’t really notice you’re doing them and they work cleanly into the pattern.
