My row gauge is correct but I have 18 sts/4” on the size 7. I didn’t want to go up a needle size, so I am working a size up from L to XL.

This is a very addictive project! Tosh vintage is so beautiful and springy and the cable on this pattern is really gorgeous!

I loved making this project and the outcome is a very warm cozy sweater. My only critique of the pattern is on the front panels between the underarm and bust. The increases here makes the sweater way too big in this area. I am small busted, but it is more than that. The design of the sweater is very boxy with almost a gather running down both fronts - you can see it even in the test knits. This looks fine on a smaller person - almost an intentionally baggy look, but this look is not as flattering on larger sizes. I wish I had adjusted for this!
