Notes

I decided I needed a “dressier” Holden Shawlette. I love knitting this pattern, and I love to wear it! It wears very well in the front and is an easy throw on anytime.

  • Even with one extra section, my shawl only blocked to 54” wide! This shawl grows a lot with blocking, but you may need to make yours bigger to meet her measurements. I am a pretty loose knitter and sock yarn varies in gauge quite a bit! *

This time I decided to make it just a little bigger by adding one more lace section. I used the main color through the end of row 38, then changed to the charcoal. I then started back at row 23 and worked through row 30 (to end with row 6). Then finish as directed. By the time you add the extra repeat section, you should have the hang of the pattern enough to add the extra stitches or repeats necessary to maintain pattern using rows 23-30 -- they will not be exact, but about the same. I must have the early version of the pattern because I think the designer has added an expansion. So, you could just buy the new version to make it bigger!
