I taught myself to double knit on this scarf, because I wanted to try something different… I found Liat Gat’s Youtube tutorial, and knitted right along, using a snowflake-type pattern my boyfriend found.

It took me a little while to get the tension right, and the edges are a little rough to begin with, but then everything evened out as I went along. The only other complaint I have is that the bind off kind of shorted me a row, which I didn’t expect. I did a K2Tog then pass stitch over bind off, and my last knitted row seems like it was kind of absorbed into the bind off.

Ahh well, for a first attempt, I think it turned out quite nice. :)
