Class sample for Knitting 102 being offered Sunday November 10th or December 8th 2-5pm. This class will review the knit and purl stitch (but you should be familiar with these already) as well as long tail cast-on, decreasing (ssk & k2tog) and mattress stitch seaming.

Pattern calls for Red Heart With Love yarn and size 10 needles but really any worsted weight yarn will do. I’m also using a size 9 as that’s what I have on hand and I like the gauge I get with them better. I’m enjoying the Everyday Worsted Soft yarn! Really soft and smooth and a lovely crimson color!

This pattern is knit flat which we will do in class for instruction purposes. This could also be easily adapted to be knit in the round thus eliminating the need for seaming at the end. A great, easy basic hat project to make for gifts, charities, your family and yourself!
