Notes

I wanted to make a blanket for my newborn son, Caleb. Considered making another creature collection afghan with puppies but need to use up my stash. Will probably make him that afghan someday but this one is very warm, and very soft. The colors are great for a boy too - and not all baby blue which means we can use this when he’s older or drape it on the couch or a chair as well. It keeps my legs really warm when feeding him.

I wanted it to have texture but didn’t want shell stitches since those seemed too lacy. DC stitches were too boring. Decided to try Front Post/ Back Post combination giving it a woven or waffle knit look. It’s a subtle texture that really enhances this yarn’s natural bumpiness. Love how it turned out.
