Fashion Yarn Workshop for Ruffle Yarns to be held at the Apple Valley Jo-Ann’s on the following dates:
-Wednesday, Nov. 20th 6-8pm
-Sunday, Jan. 19th 2-4pm
-Sunday, Feb. 16th 2-4pm
It’s a great review (or even intro) to the knit stitch and we’ll learn how to correctly use the new and very popular ruffle yarns now on the market. Great for quick, cute gifts or to just add flair to your own wardrobe!
I also have a collection of related patterns below that use ruffle yarns to help inspire you - it’s not only about scarves…
Crochet Version(2nd photo)
Sophia’s Shawl(crochet; 3rd photo)
Kelp Forest Shawlette(knit; 4th photo)
Opus 601(knit; 5th photo. This is knit lengthwise in stockinette and longer loops are left at the edges that are then cut into the wisps. May take up to 3 balls of Sashay)
Nanette Ruffle Scarf(knit; 6th photo. Worked lengthwise)
Ballerina Ruffle Skirt(crochet; 7th photo. There are several knit versions of this skirt as well on Ravelry.)
Ruffle Hair Bow(crochet; 8th photo. A cute accessory idea)
Rose Parade Wrap(crochet; 9th photo. A lovely way to embellish a piece you’ve made or even a t-shirt!)
Cha Cha Ruffles(knit; 10th photo. This uses the ribbon yarn which I’ve also seen at JoAnn’s and I love the petal look to it. The Sashay yarn has also been used successfully in other user’s projects. I also think this might be a good option for our cold winter ahead!)
