6/27/18 - Needles have arrived (using ChiaoGee Red Lace needles for this project) and am ready to start. Hard to believe that my stash of needles didn’t have what I think I’ll need. Started with 6” stainless steel double pointed needles. The first few rows were a little hard but I used stitch stoppers on the needles to keep the stitches from sliding off and it got easier with each row. Completed chart A this evening.
6/28/18 - Ready to work the first transition section. Changed to 16” circular needle for round 2. Really loving this yarn and these needles. Got through chart B, the second transition section and 2 rows of chart C. Am now using 32” needle.
7/1/18- Still working on Chart C. With 288 stitches per round it is going slowly. Only able to get 12 rounds per day before my fingers and wrists hurt. I know it is going to be even slower with the next doubling of stitches.
7/4/18 - Started Chart D this morning with the 60” needle. This is going to take a while. It’s a long way around 576 stitches!
7/17/18 - Finished! Just need to block. This was an easy knit. The only times I had problems was when I let my mind wander. Loved the yarn!
