A lot quicker knit than it looks like. I had it sitting around for awhile because I was avoiding picking up all those dang stitches. Very pleased with the final product :) I ended up increasing four stitches every knit round on the garter band. Two increases at each corner with two stitches in between. Looks like a mitered corner kinda which is kinda what I was going for.
