Cast on 88, 16” circular needles. Joined in the round (and forgot to add an extra stitch to join so I had to add an extra one on the fourth row). It will be 88 st now!

I am going to make it shorter than the pattern so that it will not have to have a turned rim. So 2” less at the beginning. Just a beanie with pom-pom per request by 8-year-old granddaughter.

The hardest part is guessing her head size.
