This is super bulky yarn. I cast on 48 st on a 16” circular needle. Very soft yarn.
Pure merino wool. Hand wash. Dry flat.

My gauge is not accurate for the pattern. I am knitting for a large head. So I knit to 8” and did the crown in 1 round of k2tog, p2tog,and then a round of k2tog till 18 st left. Had to go to double points for the very last row.
This hat is BIG!
