and asked: “can you make one like this but with these colors in the picture I’m attaching and with the stitching similar to the picture as well ?”

The pictures sent looks like a combination of dc and sc with some sc overlay. I used the Circles in Squares pattern as my guideline. I guessed the colors from the photos my customer sent (last two photos).

Followed pattern for first 3 rows, except used ch3 for starting circle. After that, it’s just alternating rows of increasing sc and increasing dc.

Row 4: sc in next 4, inc (48)

Row 5: dc (somehow for this row I got a count of 58, so I added a few scattered inc to equal 60 dc around). Somehow it works. :/

Row 6: sc in next 4, inc (72)

Row 7: dc in next 8, inc (80)

Row 8: with main background color, sc evenly around (80).

Row 9: Followed pattern for making into square, but shortened to: Ch 1, sc in first sc, * hdc in next 3 sc, dc in next 3 sc, tr in next 2 sc, (2 tr, ch 2, 2 tr) all in next sc, tr in next 2 sc, dc in next 3 sc, hdc in next 3 sc, sc in next sc, slip st in next sc, sc in next sc; repeat from * around ending with sc in last sc; join.

Round 10: Ch 1, sc in each sc, hdc in each hdc, dc in
each dc, tr in each tr and slip st in each slip st around and work (2 tr, ch 2, 2 tr) all in each corner ch-2 space; join.

Jan 15, 2017: 2 of the 8 blocks my customer wants recreated are complete (top left block of first photo, bottom left block of second photo). Plus, 4 out of 6 remaining blocks have been started. Waiting for salmon and sea blue colors to arrive before I can go any further.

Jan 21, 2017: All 8 blocks my customer wants recreated are complete. Customer wants remaining blocks to be different but using same colors.

Each block = about 10 inches square. 16 needed to make size requested.

Don’t know why my camera wants to make the buff have a pinkish look to it. It’s really just a basic light beige color, no pink or orange tone to it. :/
