Inspired by these two versions of Toasty:
MollyKB’s Toasty and Taloferia’s Toasties.

Since I have not looked at the original pattern, I think this is more inspired by than actually the same project. Here is what I did:

With size 7 needles I cast on 40 stitches.

K2,P2 around for 12 rows
On next round K8, K2Tog around (36 st remain)
Knit for 8 rounds
On next round K7, K2tog around (32 st remain)
Knit for 20 rounds

Thumb gusset k1, m1R, K1, m1L then k 2 rows until 11 stitches, pick up three? four? reduce three? K1, P1 for X rounds use JSSBO

Hand: Rejoin in the round, M1 stitch to close the gap, knit one more round, K2, P2 for X rounds, BO (didn’t use JSSBO on first mitt)
