First swatch on US 8, blocked, with Chart E cable pattern:
3.25” wide and 4.75” high; just about a quarter inch off of suggested pattern gauge all around.

After completing Charts A, B, C & D with number of repeats specified in pattern, piece measured 15” from cast-on edge, rather than the 12” specified in pattern. I’m pretty sure my swatch shrank significantly after blocking, but 3” is a big difference! However, will continue to follow pattern for Size 2 with no mods.

At this point in pattern, used almost exactly 2 hanks/200 grams/504 yards of yarn.

Before blocking, finished cocoon measured 36” in diameter (about 7” wider than pattern schematic).
