Decided to have another go at knitting, having been a dedicated crocheter for many years. I really enjoyed making these, and re-learned a lot along the way.

I used 2.75mm dpns and am going to try a 9” circular needed for the next pair.

The most significant error is that they’re different sizes. My tension obviously tightened up on the second one, so it’s a better fit.

Also, with the first one, I lost count of how many rows I did for the foot and leg, so it’s longer than the second one. Note to self - use a row counter.

I may rip out of the first one and re-do it. Or I might put it down to experience. They’re still wearable, and in fact I’m wearing them now.

First time using a bamboo blend yarn, and I really like it. The socks are nice and warm without making my feet feel hot and clammy.
