I’m adapting this pattern from a vintage knitting pattern from one of the booklets in my library. I’m using a different weight yarn and a different needle size. A satin binding will be added around the edge of the finished blanket.

CO 124 sts and purl the first row. Work in pattern until piece measures 36”.

Note about the yarn: I was a little worried about using Red Heart, because I remember their acrylic being really scratchy, but this yarn is super soft! I also needed to use a yarn that was both soft and could take multiple washings. I think this yarn will hold up well.
