30/12 Absolutely gorgeous colour and a beautiful soft yarn to knit with. Have completed the lace tops of both the front and back and joined in the round. It’s now a case of knitting shaping in stocking stitch before getting to the rib. A nice straightforward (hopefully) knit.

5/1 Body is complete and fits well. Now onto the sleeves.

18/1 Completed 1 extra set of decreases on sleeves to make them slightly longer. Would have done one more set to make them full length if I’d had enough yarn but the extra 10 rows on each arm meant that I used up all of the yarn bar a couple of metres. Still extremely happy with my sweater now that it has been blocked. The stitches have evened out beautifully.

To ensure that I had enough stretch I used the cable cast off with a 5.5mm needle to cast off the sleeve cuffs and ‘the “miraculous” stretchy bind off’ technique which I discovered via http://techknitting.blogspot.co.uk to get a stretchier cast off on the bottom rib.

This is the first time that I’ve used Quince and Co yarn and I am very happy with it. It is very soft and can definitely be worn next to the skin without the slightest hint of an itch.
