1/11 The colours for the throw are lovely and bright. Carousel is a great choice of name for this colourway. Looking forward to getting started on what will be my niece’s Christmas present. She has just moved into her new ‘big girl’ bedroom and the colours fit in perfectly. It is the first time which I’ve knitted this throw but if it is anything like other Colinette throws it should live up to my expectations.

9/11 Two complete pattern repeats completed. I am not weaving the yarns up the side as per the pattern instructions but cutting after each yarn change and catching the ends in. No ends to weave in at the end - yeah! It’s a simple pattern 12 stitch pattern repeat and I’ve put in stitch markers to make it easier to check for any mistakes as I go along.

3/1 I completed the throw very quickly with a total of 5 repeats plus Row 1 once more before casting off. I finally added the tassels, one on each point, on Christmas Eve. Each tassel had 15 strands with a combination of 9-10 strands of mohair yarn (various colours) with the remaining 5-6 strands from the other yarns. I wound the yarn around a book to ensure the stands were all the same length. They are approximately 15cm long.

Hopefully I’ll manage to get some better photos next time I see my niece. Those of the finished throw were taken very quickly after Christmas including Daisy with her mum in her make shift bed at my parents.
