05/31/2023

Knit 2 more gauge swatches on 5/27 and 5/31. Finally got stitch gauge holding 2 strands of mohair and 1 strand of fingering weight yarn on US 9 (5.5 mm) needles. CO and knit several rounds of ribbing. Used 1 strand of Sunshine Fingering and 2 strands of the Sunflower Power mohair on the ribbing.

Yarn starting weights:
Amber Glass mohair: 92 g
Sunflower Power mohair: 157 g
Sunshine Fingering: 319 g

Yarn weights after swatching:
Amber Glass mohair: 91.43 g
Sunflower Power mohair: 144.53 g
Sunshine Fingering: 294.30

Started knitting the body. Used 1 strand each of the Sunshine Fingering, Sunflower Power mohair and the Amber Glass mohair on the body.

Have 9 in knit from the cast on edge.

06/06/2023

Added 1” before separating for the front and back sections. Total length of the body from cast on edge is now 15”. Separated for the front and back sections. Knit 5.25” on the left front section.

Started knitting back panel this morning.

Completed shoulder bind off this evening. Have 33.21 g left of the Amber Glass mohair. Used 58.79 g in this project, including swatching.

Knit both sleeves using 1 strand of Sunshine Fingering and 2 strands of the Sunflower Power mohair on the ribbing.

06/10/2023

Knit neckband using 1 strand of Sunshine Fingering and 2 strands of the Sunflower Power mohair on the ribbing. Wove in most ends.

Completed finial finishing.
