The first sweater I started with my handspun yarn. I’m making it up as I go along and thrilled that this slip-stitch rib hides the uneven quality of the skeins so well! Begun spinning on a hand spindle, I’m now trying to duplicate my original lack of expertise with my spinning wheel. So far I only came out with one skein too different from it’s fellows to use in the body. I’m planning on using that one for the turtle neck part ;)!
Made it through the yoke, improvising the raglan decreases with the help of Julie Hoover’s “Hudson” pattern (really nice double decrease for the slip stitch rib).
Finally finished my first sweater with my handspun yarn! Just shy of 2 years later…so far so good, it does what my one-of-a-kind improvised sweaters so often do, fit just exactly right ;). That’s why I keep making them.
