It’s larger than I imagined from the picture although the measurement of the top of the bag is appx. 6-1/2” so it should be right with the pattern measurements at the end. With this yarn the top edge has a much more dramatic scallop (which I like).

Looked at this after the summer knitting pause and decided to frog it because I can’t think of how I will really use it. I already have a zillion project bags and I won’t carry it as a purse…meh, think I’ll make a hat or something with this yarn.
04-28-2021 - Not actually frogged! Restarting after 5 years…
So this was still in it’s little project bag after 5 years. I never actually frogged it and in the meantime I’ve gotten much better at colorwork (and have the right length needle so I don’t have to struggle through with magic loop). I had finished a lot of other projects and was looking back at UFOs and I found three (this one is the smallest). It’s funny, now that I look at it I think, ‘oh, that’s no problem, I can finish it this week!’ Then I think back to how I felt when I started it and how much of a struggle it was to knit even one row of the two-color pattern.
Luckily, things change so just today I’ve already worked to the halfway mark and look forward to finishing it up sometime this weekend and maybe even putting a lining in it :).
04-30-2021 Fast finish (once I got around to it)
I managed to finish it up in a few day’s spare time after leaving it sitting for 5 years… Thinking of putting a lining in it because this wool is very ‘hairy’ and that way it would make a better bag for gathering herbs or as a project bag.
