Notes

I like the colours in Regia Polar, but prefer the striping “slowed down”, so knit alternate rows with 2 balls per sock, starting with both strands at the same point in the striping pattern.
This makes the spiral your knit rows are building HIGHER, which can make the socks run a bit larger than expected, as this extra “height” results in a slightly longer foot length.
In the leg, I knit alternate rows with 1 ball Polar and several colours fluffy yarn, white + yellow Softy, and green recycled yarn from a chenille scarf.
The top of the ribbing in Polar only, to eliminate a “bump” in height on one side from the higher spiral.
Leg done in K3,P1 ribbing.
The leg is very loose because the Softy yarn and chenille relax more than the Polar with wear, I’d choose a tighter ribbing pattern next time.

Update:
I’ve now discovered helix knitting = several places in 1 row there’s the next skein, eliminates the skewiness and you can go 3 or 4 rows high with the same splodge of colour.

To show the difference, 3rd pic is the yarn as it’d knit up normally, 4th pic is the slowed-down striping.
