Knitting for my daughter. It’s the first time she’s let me knit her something, lol. Weird construction. So. Much. Sewing. We’ll see how this goes…

If you’re using bulky weight yarn, and are planning to block your pieces before joining, I suggest you block as you go, and don’t wait until you’re done all the pieces like I did. I needed a bucket and a sink to soak everything, used 4 towels, and ran out of pins. Luckily I had just bought more blocking mats, or I wouldn’t have had enough of those either.

Looks like the cardigan is going to be huge, but my daughter wants it oversized, so I’m hoping it will be okay

It did end up huge, but my daughter loves it.

I knit the cuffs shorter, only 5 cm, so I wouldn’t run out of the worsted weight red yarn. I just had enough to sew all the pieces together.

It took me a full day to sew everything together. All day. About 8 hours. It was worth it. Really pleased with how it turned out.
