Notes

I LOVE this cardigan! It fits well, and it’s pretty, and the yarn is so warm. It’s both cozy and flattering. Wow - what a great pattern!

Knitted this also in a mini version for my daughter:

Modifications (I am 5’-2”):

  1. My yarn gauge is 4.125/inch on 9s, so I cast on 16 stitches instead of 12 for the back for a size small.

  2. I increased until the front panels each had 26 stitches, the sleeves had 52 and the back had 68.

  3. I started the sleeve shaping after 6 rows rather than 4 to adjust for gauge. Then increased every 4 rows until I had 42 stitches left on sleeves. Then 18 rows before next increase, then 6 rows, dec, 6 rows dec.

  4. I knitted to 13 1/2” from underarm, then started the rib, and knit rib for 5 1/2” - apparently I have long ape arms.

  5. I did not adjust the row count on the ruffle because somehow my row gauge on the ruffle was larger than it was on the body of the sweater. And I have a little mini head, and I was afraid the ruffle would be too large. So I knit it per pattern.
