Apologies to all those looking for this late posting. The Sheep Puppet was a sample shown at Knit City Mini in October of 2021, but I completely forgot to post this project for all those who purchased the yarn. What a crazy year!

The pattern was easy to follow with thorough instructions and schematics. The completed puppet (without the head stuffing) went through the top-load washer at least three times before I was happy with the size. I have smallish hands, so the puppet is a bit too big for me still but believe it will work for the parents (if they use it).

Stuffed the head quite a bit after it was felted and left it to dry. The yarn used was a 100% wool worsted yarn (CVMco) and a 50/50 mix of wool and mohair (Moco) for the snout, ears, and hooves - all from Disdero Ranch, which is a small wool & meat ranch located in the interior of British Columbia, Canada. After the felting, the puppet was quite fuzzy (looked like a muppet), so it looks as it does only after a good trimming with a small pair of very sharp scissors.

Body: Brown Heather CVMco (worsted) & Cream Moco (fingering) held together.

Snout, ears & hooves: Double stranded the Moco

You can easily make 2 puppets (probably more) with the two hanks of yarn.
