I’ve been thinking of this vest for years, so I finally got around to making it. Yes, lots of numbers, lots of math, and lots of pulling back and reknitting. Not sure why that happens, but hopefully it’s something that will improve. Seems everything else is improving.

I am thrilled with how it turned out though. Still to add two small faux pocket flaps, but here it is. It was shown (and well-received) in the Disdero Ranch booth at the Fibres West 2025 fibre show that’s held every year at the Cloverdale Agriplex in Surrey, BC, Canada.

Knit top down with Icord edging at arm holes and neck band. Icord bind off at back of neck and bottom edge. Vertical button holes using this technique. Three-stitch icord bind off.
