I enjoyed this project and how the yarn worked with it! The pattern rewrite was clear, but there were a few notes I made.
- I slipped all stitches purlwise
- After the first repeat of the Increase Section, I had 37 stitches
- 57 stitches after the second repeat
- 77 stitches after the third repeat
- In Row 28, I didn’t purl after the brk, instead knitting to the final 2 stitches
- After the first repeat of the Increase Section, I noticed there was a column with irregular knits and purls after the brioche sections (it’s not obvious from the front with the yarn I chose, but clear on the back). It starts on Row 1 with the initial p1 after the brioche section, which makes that final brioche rib appear to start earlier than the other two. In the following repeats, in Row 1, I knit all the stitches between the brioche sections so it doesn’t make the last brioche rib look longer. Then, I worked the irregular/random stitches of that column so that it appeared to be all purls from the front and all knits from the back (it resulted in changing Rows 6, 10, 12, 16, and 18; the p4 between the brioche sections became p3, k1).
- I’m a tight knitter and went up a needle size without making a gauge swatch (bad habit, I know…). I had 11 grams of yarn left and was easily able to block it to the measurements listed in the pattern.
- Make sure your cast on is loose; I had to really stretch it to fit the other side when sewing them together.
