Notes

I knit this hat for one of my favorite Missionaries, Elder Motes. It’s unseasonably cold this year and he’s out on a bike in the wind wearing a crappy store-bought acrylic hat. Not anymore.

What yarn do you use when you’re outside in the wind a lot?..Yak.

So I reknit my color-block prototype in boy colors for Motes and he was more excited than I thought he’d be. Now he’ll stay warm while waiting at bus stops or riding his bike in the rain in 30 degree weather (like he did tonight), and I can sleep better knowing his ears will stay warm.
