This has been a fantastic project! I haven’t enjoyed knitting this much in a long time. Personal design, lots of frogging as I tweaked it to be exactly what I wanted. This yarn has held up to abuse like a DREAM. I want my entire aran weight stash to be made up of this stuff.
CO 168 (note - had to increase an additional 8 stitches each side, starting 16 rounds below where the underarm started. 2 stitches per round 1 each side. Created a wedge to not be such negative ease on the back) The increases would have been needed if there hadn’t been so much cabling.
2x2 rib for about 2 inches.
Front panel from R-L
p2, 1x1 cable (done every right side row), p2, 3x3 cable (every 6 rows), 1x1 cable (every right side row), XX moss stitch, 1x1 cable (done every right side row), p2, 3x3 cable (every 6 rows), 1x1 cable (every right side row), p2.
Stockinette around until the back center 28 stitches. 2x2 ribs across those stitches.
When I got bored, I did an interlaced cable that was about halfway done when I attached the sleeves. Continued in pattern for 2 rounds then started raglan decreases. Then bound off the stitch panel on the front for a deep scoop neckline.
Short rows at each corner in the front of the neck line for the collar. Bound off tightly in stockinette stitch, knitting two together in the purl stitch sections along the back to tighten it up.
Sleeves 38 stitches around with a 3x3 cable edged in 2 purl stitches on each side.

Fixed the neckline with strategic decreases during bind off! Blocking now and I can’t wait until it’s dry for real pictures!
