Saw this pattern and thought it was lovely and just by chance started it on the Lunar New Year. Not many projects but it seemed on the completed projects the corrugated ribbing flared a bit so I went to a 2.25 mm needle for the band and did an additional 2 rows.

The needle size was a little confusing. On the project page it says to use a 3mm or US 2.5 for the body but on the pattern it says to use a US 3 which is a 3.25 mm. I chose the 3.25 and the stranding should bring it in a bit.

The beanie ended up being a little small. I did not do a gauge swatch so I shouldn’t be surprised. Next time I will definitely do at least a 2.5 mm needle for the ribbing and a 3.5 mm for the body with a few additional rows in the ribbing.
