The directions probably make sense if you’ve done a C2C afghan before, but I had not.

I’ve re-written the eyelet row instructions the way I need to think about it.

Row 6: Ch…, dc…, sl st in next ch-4 space of previous row, ch…, dc… 5 times, placing last dc in the base of the beginning ch-2 of previous row, turn—6 eyelet blocks.

Row 7: Ch…, dc…, sl st in next ch-4 space of previous row, ch…, dc… 6 times, placing last dc in the 3rd ch of the beginning ch-7 of previous row, turn—7 eyelet blocks.

Row 8: Ch…, dc…, sl st in next ch-4 space of previous row, ch…, dc… 7 times, placing last dc in the 3rd ch of the beginning ch-7 of previous row, turn—8 eyelet blocks.

Then the next row: Ch…, dc…, dc…, (sl st, ch 2, 3 dc) in next ch-7 space of previous row] 8 times, turn—9 blocks.
