I have a confession. I am the only one I knit for this Christmas.
I’ve wanted to knit this sweater since I designed Whippoorwill. It was a relief to finally get the opportunity. I took out some of the eyelet rows from my original sketch because I’m not a “fancy girl”, but I think a couple more would be pretty on someone else. I’m going to knit this again with a different yarn and a little tweaking to the design.
Primo is perfect for next-to-skin wear. The yarn is very soft, but has excellent stitch definition and recovery. It works very well with this design.
12.22.11 Finished. Fits and looks great. I’m very happy with it, but when I knit this again I might go with a raglan yoke instead of a round one.
12.5.11 The last skein came today! It’s a good match, so I’m back on track.
11.21.11 I was going to run out of yarn, but I have been saved by a fellow Plucky lover. Not sure how I feel about this project just now. I’m not frogging though. I’ve come too far… we’ll just see how it turns out before making any rash decisions.
10.27.11 Well, as per my usual, I cast on with something completely different that I planned to. Still the pink (though this is a pinkish ruby red -- deeper than it appears in the pictures) and grey vein in a sense, but so much fancier than the original color pairing I had going on. I figure this one will be great for the holidays.
