Found this designer and impulsively cast on with some oatmeal lambswool from an unraveled sweater. It looks like a sweet and feminine cardigan that shouldn’t be too difficult.
…not too difficult, if you remember to read the chart from left to right when working wrong-side rows! It has been that long since I have knitted anything other than socks or circular stranded knitting where you just go around and around.
I’m doing the yoke in the smallest size since I have a small neck and shoulders; will increase to size 2 after the lace pattern is done.
The yarn is from an Old Navy sweater I unraveled; 57% lambswool, 43% nylon. Nice softness and tweedy look. I am amazed how fast I can knit when I am working with yarn bigger than fingering weight!
May 23 - Working on the sleeves. Playing yarn chicken. Still have to do the buttonbands.
July 18 - Finished with 3/4 sleeves; would have been nice to have more yarn, but this way I can wear it better while cooking and cleaning… in the fall though.
Note on the pictures; my youngest graduated this June and we left the graduation party decorations up because… why not? How many words can you get out of a “CONGRATS” banner? I put it to “Crangots” (ingots made of cranberries) because I preferred that to “Strangco” (a company specializing in strangulation) and especially “Snotcrag.”
