Notes

This beautiful block is comprised of cables and lace. You can use either the written version or the chart version in the pattern. Use your favorite cast on since there is no special one specified in this pattern.

Make sure to check your gauge.

When you go to K4tog, make sure you go through all 4 sts. This is the toughest part of K4tog. Sometimes it helps to use a crochet hook to grab the loop and pull through the for stitches. It may be easier to K4tbl. (Knit 4 stitches through the back loop). The YO’s compensate for the K4tog and K4tbl sts in the pattern.

The other sts are cables that create the crosses.

4-st LPC and 5-st RPC Video

Please note, there is a correction to the pattern. The 5-st LPC should be: 5-st RPC Slip 3 sts to cn and hold to back, k2, slip the last st from cn back to left needle and purl it, k2 from cn.
