Followed the pattern for suggested 6 increases, 10 straight repeats, 6 decreases. Used 3 balls and plus probably a metre of the 4th ball.

The yarn is lovely - looks purple under house lights, and burgundy-red under day light. It is quite twisty and thick & thin in places, giving it a hand-spun feel. This does mean the tension is slightly loose but it has given a nice texture to the stockinette panel.

It took me much longer than it should have done, but a great knit for a gift.

I need to block it to sort out the shape slightly - but it is already 1.8m long so I wont be too hard with it. I’ll concentrate on the leaves. More pics to follow!
