6 month size? Since using DK, cast on 88. Looks like the hat uses an 8 stitch repeat. Using size 6 needles.

Just kind of guessed, but the size looks about right.

Was planning to use a more traditional green, but decided to take a risk and use this teal to match the other lemon baby gifts. I think I like it.

After ~6.5 inches, started decreases: K9, K2tog around (80 stitches).

Decrease until they match pattern. Continue in pattern.

Just about finished. Need to wash and block, then add the leaves.

The cotton yarn for the leaves is very unforgiving in regards to tension.

Leaf Modification

Worked on Size 6 DPNs with Cotton Kings 8/4 fingering yarn.

Increased to 11 stitches (K4, YO, K1, YO, K4)
Knit 6 rounds.
Continue to decreases.

11/20/2022

Finished, blocked, and leaves sewn on to hat. Took days to dry.

Had some issues with getting the SSKs to look nice. Almost gave up on the second, lighter teal leaf.

Yarn is slippery. Really hope the leaves stay on the hat while washing.
