Simple HDC blanket. Started with a base round of 8 sts, and just kept increasing until I thought the blanket was big enough. (I think this equaled 33 rnds before the border) The border is one row HDC, followed by a row o alternating FPHDC and BPHDC, still with the increases. I think the border is my favorite part, it ties it in so nicely with the baseball uniform layette set I made him.

For the baseball stitches I mapped out where I wanted them with pins and then embroidered them on. There is definitely a front and a back to this blanket, but I managed to stitch neatly enough that the back doesn’t look like a complete mess.

This was the project I worked on while my kids were at VBS.
