11-13-12: Finished! This project took a nap after I lost my hook under a pallet at work, then I had to make other things first. Once I picked it back up I was done super fast, which kind of annoys me that I put it off that long!
It seemed a bit on the loose side, so for the final band portion I dropped down to an E hook and it fits nicely around my head. The rest of it is pretty slouchy still, so I think for future projects I’ll use an E hook throughout.
