I’m thinking about working the main part of the hat with my E hook, and perhaps switching to an F hook for the band. We’ll see.

Okay. I did work the main body of the hat with an E hook, which made it just nice and full and not overly slouchy. I found with the Galapagos Beret and Lollipop beret that an E hook gives a perfect fit for a 22” inch head…and this one was for someone with a 23” head. I’m sure that it still would have stretched to fit, but I was worried that it would stretch it out too much, so I jumped up to an F hook for the SC brim rows and I think that will give it just the right fit.
