5/23/13 - Hurrah - it’s done. Blocking - OMG - it’s huge - I’m almost afraid to measure. Neckline has stretched, too - might do a quick re-do to tighten it up.

Gauge (4” x 4”): 19 sts/30 rows. Used 4 and 5 needless as patern calls for because this one needed to be bigger than the last (used 2’s and 3’s to get ‘gauge’). If I ever use this yarn again, swatch will need to be blocked before determining gauge. Measures: Chest: 40”, Back Length 27”, Sleeves (with cuff unrolled): 20”.

Post office lost the first one… So I’m making yet another
one… modified by knitting sleeves ‘top down’ - which is better - in that they fit in the arm space more smoothly, but worse - in that now I have the whole body of the sweater to flip every time I do a round of the sleeve. Alas. If I ever make another one, I’m going to try adapting it to be ‘contiguous’ in the manner of http://www.ravelry.com/people/SusieM.

Should add that just as I’m starting sleeve #2, the first one has been returned to me (3 months+ later!) Labels on the package indicate it arrived Sydney, Australia on 04/03/13 -- I’ve no idea why they thought that was the same thing as Kent, U.K. -- nor why they didn’t go ahead and try to deliver it there.
