Notes

So pretty - a fun project when all was said and done. Added two additional feather and fan edgings once I found additional ball of yarn; looking back wish I’d added more of the ‘star’ section (section 4?), but the lacy edging worked pretty well to make it bigger. Needed intense blocking - lots of pins - might have benefitted from blocking wires (which I don’t have). Can’t wait to try the other patterns in the set!

Ran out of the first ball with only a few rows left… had to find previous project in hibernation and will now be able to complete. Am FINALLY going to finish a project with this yarn… Hurrah! It seems on the the smallish side (I didn’t check gauge - but that doesn’t matter as much with shawls), so I might add several extra rows of the ripply lace edging. Blocking will work wonders, I’m pretty sure.

(last picture is of 1st attempt of this pattern with a worsted weight yarn - might still finish - but didn’t have enough of the teal, so it would have to be multicolored… now that I’m mostly done with the variegated/fingering… I might do it just to have a bigger shawl)
