Included picture of my previous one: This also made with overdyed recycled sweater yarn… Which is very thin and somewhat fragile - so both chain-ply and doubling usually necessary to improve strength.
For Random Numbers, I’ve used both real dice and Phone/iPad “random dice roll” apps to generate the pattern numbers… Neither seems to REALLY be random enough… The same number keeps popping up! So I get an additional cheap thrill of cheating by substituting whatever number did NOT come up. Don’t judge me too much!

Thinking about overdying with a yellow or orange to make it greenish. That could end horribly, no?

Sometimes, I created a new “rule” when a ‘1’ or ‘6’ came up, to incorporate the adjoining group of six… Stitch marker will need to be moved… not sure exactly how to describe this “rule” other than to move the marker right 2 stitches or left 2 stitches, so that the expected number of stitches were between markers after the increase or decrease.
I.E. if you are on an increase/decrease row (so that you have 14 st, Marker, 10 st, Marker, 14 st, Marker, etc… but the increase or decrease overlaps the stitches on either side of the marker… move the marker forward or backward accordingly… also remember to count the “changed” ordering of the other grouping that’s been affected by the new position of the maker in between… PM me if you’d like a picture and or a long, wordier explaination… ![ smiley](https://style-cdn.ravelrycache.com/images/twemoji/1f603.png)
This broke up the long columns that developed between the stitch marker sections. A little more chaos in the system, so to speak. Which is my superpower, if you hadn’t already guessed from my Ravelry User Name… which pre-dates even the beginnings of Ravelry… I am one of the many Followers of The Fly Lady… Still messy after all these years, but embraced it instead of shaming myself about it.
