Kit Ordered… Blue (color B) with Orange (color A). (Lazurite with Chabazite) Can’t wait!

1/8/14 - Wow - it’s here! Need to finish up something to free up the right sized circulars… Maybe I can ‘make do’? Sigh.

1/9/14 - Went ahead and bought size 7’s - got 19 st/4 inches with size 6. Note: cowl in pattern picture has been cast on differently than in instructions… Was wondering why ‘mine doesn’t look like that’. Note #2: have now determined that the ‘cast on’ edge isn’t even visible in picture. When I do this pattern again, I’m going to add an additional knit/purl rows of Color A before beginning slip stitch pattern section to get rid of the right side color transition ‘ridge’.

1/13/14 - Very frustrated, have restarted twice because it didn’ t look like picture (especially noticeable is orange purl ridge in 1st blue to orange transition). I think now that this is hidden in fold of the one on the model? I’m just going to have to live with it, I guess, because I can’ t figure out how to eliminate it, sigh. Another frustration is purely ME: I get knitting along k1, sl 1…. and get off by 1 … and then isn’t noticed right away. Only have to rip out a few rows at most … but it’s so careless! (I’ve not been able to correct it via dropping down a stitch at a time. The two strands are too twisted. I’m just not that proficient at ‘colorwork’)… I’m hanging in… just too pretty to abandon, right?

1/15/14 - done at last… had to frog back one last time yesterday due to continued ‘user error’ - accidentally did two purl rounds (skipping knit round) in next to last blue garter stitch section. Was getting too anxious to get finished :( It’s so beautiful and really soft and warm! Blocking and weaving in ends today - then will post ‘finished’ picture. Have ‘just a little bit’ of each ball of yarn left (more of the orange (color A) than the blue (color B)). Woo-hoo.
