Finally getting this started. Using a join-as-you-go without too much difficulty. Was given a pile of scrap balls of Acrylic worsted, which is interesting.

Wish I had more variegated - but it is what it is.

A little worried about the stuffing showing through - used a smaller hook and there are still gaps.
