Love the stich combination. I had to go down to h hook to get gage but I think that it made the fabric stiff. Made mine a bit longer but I think it is still kind of tight for a cowl.

Easy pattern to adjust add or subtract two stitches. Next time I will just fhdc until I get to the length I need.
