I liked the look of this little shrug/bolero so I bought the pattern. I started knitting with circs as suggested but quickly switched to long straights as it’s so much faster to knit this way and time was seriously running out!
The way the pattern is written is really confusing and if I’d had the time and knowledge beforehand, I would have written it all out completely differently instead of having to rip back many hour’s work! You have to keep track of separate sets of instructions as you knit and there are no stitch counts to help you keep on track with the unusual shaping. I couldn’t fathom out the sleeves at all so I ended up knitting them bottom up and on straight needles…soooooo much easier and faster and really hard to see any difference in the sewing up.
They looked really sweet on the two little flower girls and I hope to get a better picture once more of the wedding photos are available.
