For these shirts I made up the pattern. I wanted to try out what the fabric would be like if I machine knit the lot and afterwords manually manipulated the stitches to a Rib around the edges. Not too bad a bid tedious, but using the Ribber is also tedious.

This Mulberry Silk I bought when I was 17 from my first earned money baby sitting the neighbors kids. I have knit with this yarn - the same again and again and again, rip it knit it rip it knit it - 4 different types of shirts.

It starts now showing the signs of time but I think this is proof it is well worth it to invest in good quality yarn and to look properly after it, you will enjoy your labor of love for so much longer.
