Knit top down started with smallest size because my Gauge way off, didn’t want see through fabric, used yarn single as lace. Not sure about sizing, we’ll see.
Arrived at separation point for arms / body. Will I hang it on the machine and make the rest in a breeze, yeah I think I will, SS on 2.5 mm will take me till the end of time.
Forgot to take notes of Tension square on the machine, jeez I am so clever at times … do it again and start asap before I have another mental laps … no I don’t have Alzheimer’s more like ADD.
OK 4.1 it is, let’s get going …. A clear line between handknitting and machineknitting visible, so frogged and started again as pure machine knit.
This project has been finished and asap frogged. Mashine knitting and this yarn don’t go well together. Yarn broke several times because under too much pressure and the finished gauge was nothing like the test square, rumble, grumble … 33SX46R, had to go up in Ten 4.2 - ergo: Knit lace noil silk only with an added threat for strength or maybe frog less?
OK going to do it by hand, yarn held double … boring SS … not happy Jan … this is going to kill me by hand. One last remark before the long way round commences, this yarn although I had breaks, holds up wonderfully to frogging, 3 times frogged and the yarn still rocks!
OK finally done, deconstructed and on the machine. It makes for a very lightweight fabric - 147 g total - without being see through, perfect for our weather and with 3/4 sleeves, that’s a plus.
Got the final constructions slightly wrong, increase length for shoulder/raglan as well as body, decrease width for front and back at neckline, deeper neckline at front, too straight as is. And never increase for raglan every row with this yarn, very open structure = holes!
