Simple shapes, improvised as I knitted

I bought six skeins but only used 3! I did break into a fourth skein to make sure I matched the stripes on the sleeves. I based the stitch count on a pattern for a yarn with half the gauge thus I doubled up all the numbers of stitches. Then I knitted to fit. This included the button band knitted in a continuous k1p1 rib, up one side meandering around the neck then down the other, using short rows to turn the corners.

I am thinking of lengthening the sleeves by an inch or so (sleeves knitted top down so no prob) and I may knit in some knitting elastic for the cuffs as the yarn sags a bit with wearing
